Abstract

The life, pension, annuity, and health policy administration system market remains a fragmented market. Celent believes that sales of life, pension, annuity, and health PAS systems in EMEA will continue at a steady pace during mid-2015 to mid-2017.

In the fourth quarter of 2015, Celent published updates to the EMEA, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and North America life, pension, annuity, and health PAS vendor reports. The data-gathering process provided considerable insight into the PAS solution market as well as data on deals in the previous years for these regions.

This report provides a view of market and deal trends in life, pension, annuity, and health PAS in EMEA as well as an overview of the active vendors in this region, including an estimation of their market shares.

“In general, life, pension, annuity, and health insurers favor a vendor who is able to demonstrate local knowledge and who is able to offer local support, explaining why the vast majority of the vendors have a strong client base in their domestic country or region,” says Jamie Macgregor, senior vice president of Celent’s Insurance practice and coauthor of the report.

“While the EMEA life, pension, annuity, and health PAS market is a crowded market there are still newcomers,” says Nicolas Michellod, senior analyst with Celent’s Insurance practice and coauthor of the report. “However, it is important to mention that these new vendors tend to either focus on a line of business in a single country or try to disrupt the market with a new business model.”

Data in this report was gathered as part of Celent’s research prepared for EMEA Policy Administration Systems 2015: Life, Health, Annuities, and Pensions ABCD Vendor View. Forty-one life, pension, annuity and health PAS vendors (including 42 systems) completed a detailed RFI to be included in the report.
