Abstract

In early 2016, Celent published updates to the regional P&C PAS vendor reports across the sectors of property & casualty (general) insurance. The data-gathering process provided some insight into the P&C PAS solution market as well as data on deals in the previous years for these regions.

This report provides a view of deal and trends in policy administration systems in the property & casualty market in Latin America.

There are many pressures surrounding the insurers’ business decisions, especially for investments such as the growth of the economy, inflation, global economic outlook, and internal political stability.

“Overall in Latin America, inflation is expected to be above 4%, with almost flat GDP growth, mainly driven by some large countries,” says Luis Chipana, an analyst with Celent’s Insurance practice and author of the report. “On the bright side, insurers have always demonstrated their willingness to invest in and modernize their core systems overweighing such as hash economic times.”

The report contains 10 figures.
