Abstract

This is the fifth annual report published by Celent examining business priorities, IT initiatives and spending, and other specific IT topics in the Latin-American insurance industry. The objective is to review business trends facing the market and how they are driving IT investment and strategies. The sections that follow discuss broad IT investment plans and priorities for L&H Latin American insurers in 2017. Technology strategies, IT budgets, and IT management issues are discussed in further detail.

Trends discussed in this report reflect Celent’s understanding of the market based on ongoing discussions with industry stakeholders and, specifically, interviews with selected Latin American insurance CIOs that provided answers for 41 insurance companies located in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
