Abstract

The payments industry faces many significant changes in the coming years, from standards such as ISO 20022 to Instant Payments to those mandated by their regulator. At the same time, their existing payments infrastructure is often old and costly to run, let alone change. As a result, banks are actively seeking to move payments to the cloud. But do they know quite what they mean, and what the implications are for each different choice they have?
