Eleven Themes in AML Technology Transformation

Abstract

Digital technologies are driving significant change in anti-money laundering (AML) operations. Still, financial crime compliance remains heavily focused on fulfilling regulatory requirements: Early wins enabled by digital technologies have focused on increasing efficiency in what is still a traditional compliance regime. Celent believes that the industry is nearing an inflexion point, where technology transformation doesn’t just tick the regulatory boxes, but drives effective anti-financial crime detection and prevention at financial institutions.
