  • Can you give me details of the EC mandate that requires a 'black box' in all new cars? I thought that the eCall legislation which will require this is now expected in 2014, but your articles suggest that a requirement is already specified. Thx. CHris

    It is our understanding that car manufacturers are already supporting this initiative - new cars will have the black box installed - ahead of the 2014 legislation.

  • How about the sluggish consumer adoption? The consumer is understandably concerned about privacy realting to the use of data collected. While technical and regulatory roadblocks can be countered by insurers by providing right focus and resources, something that's difficult to address is the privacy concerns. Is there anything that's being done in this regards?
