BISAM's market survey
Eight years after the Global Financial Crisis of 2008, the landscape of the asset management industry is still being formed by it. Asset managers of all shapes and sizes continue to face significant challenges notably fee pressures and the cost of complying with new regulations.
BISAM is continuously polling the industry to ensure that our strategic priorities and product roadmaps support, inform and evolve the working practices of performance analysts and market risk managers. To that end, we seek to understand not only the “user” perspective, but also the perceptions of the C-suite: What do those leading the world’s buy-side organizations see as the major challenges and how are they prioritizing actions to address them?
Earlier this year, we commissioned a survey to collect the views and opinions of individuals operating in C-level across the buy-side. Today we have published a white paper summarizing the results of that survey. The paper describes the primary drivers for change and how these are creating an industry dynamic that has important implications for asset management organizations. It then explores the C-level perspective on the challenges their businesses are facing: what they see as the most important challenges; how their views on priorities have changed over the past year; and how the perspective differs in different types of organizations.
The findings are an interesting read that I would encourage you to share within your own organizations.
