FlexTrade Systems, Inc., a leader in multi-asset, algorithmic trading systems, today announced its FlexTRADER algorithmic trading platform has grabbed the top spot in the Best Buy-Side Algorithmic/DMA Product or Service category of this year’s Buy-Side Technology Awards,

which was held at The May Fair Hotel in London.

Judged by a nine person advisory panel comprised of the editorial staff of Waters and leading industry consultants and research analysts, FlexTRADER was chosen for its extensive, multi-asset DMA combined with sophisticated strategy development templates and pre-packaged trading algorithms.

“It’s truly an honor to win this award,” said Vijay Kedia, president and CEO of FlexTrade. “It validates our mission since inception, which is to provide the buy-side with the same technological edge in trading experienced by the sell-side. With FlexTRADER, buy-side firms can directly access multiple sources of liquidity while utilizing a wide array of trading algorithms and strategy building templates across multiple asset classes.”

Algorithmic trading is the touchstone of FlexTRADER, a fully customizable system with pre-defined trading strategies and tactics for portfolio and single stock trading. It provides out-of-the-box, cross asset trading strategies which can be customized, global access to broker algorithms, as well as the ability to build proprietary algorithms. The platform also provides organically developed pre-trade, real-time and posttrade analytics (FlexTCA), predictive analytics (FlexEdge); risk and cost optimized portfolio trade scheduling (FlexPTS); integrated real-time allocations and cash management; smart order routing; a fully integrated high performance Complex Event Processing (CEP) engine; commission management; complete

transaction and IOI quality management, and a dynamic strategy matrix. In addition to equities, FlexTRADER facilitates foreign exchange trading via the award winning FlexFX, while equity options and futures trading are administered by FlexOPT, Derivix and FlexFutures, respectively. For fixed income trading, the system is certified to trade US treasuries as a member of the BGC Partners Preferred Vendor Program.
