Part of Year Of Innovation

FixSpec continues it's Year of Innovation series today with the release of a free FIX log comparison tool on

Built with QA regression testing in mind, the tool allows users to paste two FIX log files into the website to see a side-by-side comparison of differences across the chain of messages. In line with other FixSpec products, the tool works for all FIX versions and venue-specific specifications registered with the site. All comparison and parsing is performed in the user's browser to ensure that no sensitive data is sent over the internet.

Chris Lees, Founder of FixSpec explained "the simplicity and power of tool is yet another example of what can be achieved by applying modern web technology to an area of our industry mired in legacy technology and thinking. We truly believe that the days of PDF specifications are numbered, as we demonstrate with every product release that online specifications are not only easier to work with, but provide a foundation for more efficient tools such as this".

The FIX log comparison tool is the latest in a series of product releases as part of FixSpec's Year of Innovation, which has seen the release of a visual log decoder, hosted simulation and certification platform, and an enterprise monitoring platform which integrates automated project management and specification editing tools.
