  • I was a VP of Innovation for large telecom operator out or Europe- Deutsche Telekom. The big learning is that digital is the big disruptor and everything -and I mean every customer interaction and touch point - needs to be viewed and dissected via this lens. It is here where the role of a Chief (I or D) Officer needs to focus. The Telecom industry has been disrupted by digital for 20 years now and the lessons have been deep and hard and I think that many industries now facing a similar journey- such as finance, banking, education, retail, could learn from Telecom.
