Biography
Rob brings 25 years of experience leading technology organizations of insurance companies, including nearly two decades as CIO of Pinnacol Assurance, a leading workers’ compensation insurer, where he led an organizational transformation around the principles of Lean and the Toyota Way. In 2017, he founded the insuretech startup Cake, where he achieved breakthroughs in the speed and ease of purchasing a commercial insurance policy.
Throughout his career, Rob has won numerous awards for innovation. His work has received extensive press coverage and been the focus of numerous case studies. He is a recognized expert in creating outstanding digital experiences for customers and agents.
Rob has a passion for entrepreneurism, with deep experience in strategic planning, product management, and product marketing, having led those functions within the insurance industry as well as for companies in media and technology sectors.
