Abstract

Founded in 1818 and headquartered in New York, Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is the oldest private bank in the US. BBH focuses on providing various products and services designed for its high net worth and institutional clients.

This case study examines BBH’s US Private Client Group (which serves the wealth management needs of high net worth clients) and its endeavor to launch a Web-based wealth management solution that could duplicate BBH’s offline status as a well-respected private bank. The study looks at the entire vendor evaluation process undertaken by BBH and how it came to decide on Adhesion Technologies as its major third-party vendor for the entire project. The study also describes the actual implementation process and BBH’s assessment of its on-going relationship with Adhesion Technologies.
