Mike Morris

Mike is an associate analyst with Celent, bringing along a career of over 20 years of experience as a CIO/COO in the insurance industry. He has deep expertise in IT and process-related projects for a varied number of industries including insurance, bancassurance, tourism, farming, and food & beverage.

Mike is a senior executive with skills in general management, strategic business planning, budgeting, business process improvement, project management, quality programs, workforce and change management, and digital transformation. His career encompasses international experience in multi-national and SMB companies throughout Latin America, UK, USA, and India.

Before joining Celent, specifically in the insurance industry, he worked for 10 years at Royal and Sun Alliance (RSA), which later became SURA Seguros. During his time at RSA, he served as the CIO for Argentina and Uruguay, as well as the LATAM Regional IT Manager, working out of the regional office in the US.

More recently, Mike played a fundamental role in the startup of Qualia Seguros, an insurance company that is a member of the Grupo Petersen in Argentina. As the Operations and IT Manager for Qualia Seguros, he was responsible for overseeing operations, managing business processes, developing IT strategy, planning and budgeting, ensuring quality management, managing Op/IT human resources, and implementing the insurance end-to-end core system.

Mike initially graduated in Information Technology and holds an MBA from the IAE Business School. He is bilingual (English and Spanish).
