Juan Mazzini
Juan Mazzini is a Senior Analyst in Celent´s insurance practice. Having recently joined Celent, Juan’s focus will be on expanding the insurance team’s coverage of IT and business strategy issues to Latin America.
Mr. Mazzini’s career spans 17 years in both management consulting and the insurance industry. Prior to joining Celent, he was Corporate Vice President at Sistran, where he directly contributed to expanding its presence throughout 14 countries, including the key Latin American markets of Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Central America, and the Caribbean. He brings a deep understanding of core and noncore systems projects and operational business models from his work with major insurance carriers.
He began his career in the IT insurance industry in 1995 as a Sales & Marketing Manager for a small insurance software vendor in Argentina, leading its first phase of international growth based on launching and implementing a new policy administration system for more than 45 carriers in six new countries. As part of his engagements with carriers, he focused on core and noncore systems projects and how to deliver business value through the use of technology.
Mr. Mazzini is skilled in helping multinational carriers solve complex IT and business operations strategy problems. For example, he helped one of the largest P&C insurance carriers in Latin America define and implement a cross-border sales and operational model that created exceptional business value through the use of IT and standardized processes.
From 2004 through 2007, he was Executive Director of Sistran Inc., managing the office in Mexico and leading and advising on how to enter the US market in terms of sales, operations, and product readiness, especially considering ISO rates and regulations. He oversaw several multimillion-dollar core system policy administration system legacy replacement projects at leading Mexican, Colombian, and Caribbean insurance carriers.
He also brings to the practice deep expertise in HR transformation. Before joining Celent, he advised and helped execute a new HR strategy for a group of 450 IT employees working throughout the Latin American region.
Mr. Mazzini has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Catolica Argentina. His background includes several roles in cross-border, multicultural environments.
He will be based in Miami, but will make good use of Celent´s global network of offices.
