Winner of the Celent Model Bank 2020 Award for Banking in the Cloud

Abstract

Celent recognizes EQ Bank as the 2020 Model Bank winner for Banking in the Cloud. Core banking in the public cloud is still in its infancy, yet some of the most modern and forward-thinking challengers are considering major IaaS providers.

EQ Bank completely rebuilt its technology stack on Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, offering a new level of scalability and robustness. The new infrastructure features an updated Temenos core banking platform and cloud-based products and services. This was not just a migration to the cloud but also a core system upgrade to a core five versions ahead of where the bank was at the time. EQ Bank shows the power of a project of this magnitude and stands as an example of fantastic execution. It is truly a model bank for banking in the cloud.
