Celent profiles IT service vendors for the insurance industry. The report covers 28 vendors with a focus on Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

In a new report, IT Services Vendors Solutions Spectrum: EMEA Version, 2010 Celent provides a guide of IT service vendors for insurers. Although not an exhaustive list, the report captures a wide cross-section of the available vendors and functions, and over time will include more. This report is a companion report to the version published for North America earlier this year.

“Service providers now have a strong foothold in the European region, with several having client relationships for a number of years,” says Catherine Stagg-Macey, Senior Analyst with Celent’s Insurance Group and coauthor of the report. “This can be considered a mature market for insurers, who can be confident they’ll find considerable choice and experience among these providers.”

Feedback from CIO discussions and responses from clients in Celent’s ITS vendor survey show that the factors related to choosing an ITS vendor are not merely based on price, although price is still a big factor. “Clients want a vendor to be responsive to their needs and to really know their business,” says Nicolas Michellod, Senior Analyst with Celent’s Insurance Group and coauthor of the report. “Insurers are largely looking for partners in their delivery of IT, not just low-cost services.”
