The incorporation of digital assets into BBVAs Switzerland’s banking offering was a major strategic milestone for BBVA. Offering clients a seamless experience that integrates traditional asset classes with crypto meant a heavy investment in a scalable technology infrastructure and the custody/clearing services that enable crypto trading. It also called for a very deep and transparent collaboration with local banking regulators, as well as a clear communication strategy aimed at educating the client base.
