      REPORT
      Tech Trends Previsory - Capital Markets Q1 2022 Edition
      15th March 2022
      //Tech Trends Previsory - Capital Markets Q1 2022 Edition

      The capital markets industry has played a postive role in the COVID pandemic supporting companies and governments around the world who looked to re-finance, raise new funding or reposition their investments. The resulting stimulus and increased transactions has effectively been the tide that lifted most boats across the industry. When it comes to digital transformation however, it is now a case of the "haves" and "have yachts". Financial Institutions that went into the pandemic with advanced use of emerging tech have in some cases widened their lead over competitors.

      But the same margin and competitive pressures the existed pre-pandemic persist, so the race is far from lost. With industry leaders predicting a continuing of elevated fee pools and with significant growth in AUM, there are opportunities for all financial institutions.

      Celent identifies five broad-based, high-impact areas around which capital markets ecosystem participants including those on the sell side, buy side and from market infrastructures, should consider organizing their technology priorities in 2022. These areas represent the key business initiatives needed to transform current operating models in order to deliver a new generation of highly tailored client solutions.

      This report provides financial institutions with a guide for prioritizing and navigating the capital markets technology landscape and provides new content to update the original Previsory released in late October 2021 (see Previsory Webinar series).
