UnionBank of the Philippines has the ambition to operate fully in the cloud. In line with this, it has migrated its on-premise core banking platform to the Finacle Digital Banking suite running on AWS. UnionBank onboards around 1.2 million new customers each year and aims to open 25 million new accounts in the next few years. This move allows UnionBank to keep acquiring and delivering transactions for its clients without worrying about capacity or underlying infrastructure.
