CCE Peru becomes only our third payments infrastructure ever to win a Model Bank award. Peru launched it's first real-time payments network a number of years ago, with good success. Then in 2019, first COVID drove overnight a significant increase in payment volumes, then VISA launched a better, free competitive service. Working with ACI Worldwide and Mastercard, CCE responded by creating a cloud-based real-time payment infrastructure, which is both backwardly compatible to insulate banks from change, but leading edge globally, enabling those banks and non-banks to take advantage of the possibilities it created.
