Real Vida Seguros and Munich Re join forces in a digital Life insurance underwriting project in Portugal

Real Vida Seguros and Munich Re have implemented a practical and innovative digital underwriting solution to serve the Portuguese life insurance market. The solution is based on technology developed by Munich Re Automation Solutions, the world's leading provider of new digital business, underwriting and data analytics solutions for the life insurance industry. This new system enables Real Vida Seguros intermediaries to offer their customers a more agile state-of-the-art underwriting process.

Real Vida Seguros' experience in the Life business, combined with Munich Re Automation Solutions' experience in terms of Life insurance digital underwriting capabilities, is a guarantee of quality for Real Vida customers in Portugal.

The implementation of this system will allow intermediaries to offer their customers an innovative insurance underwriting process, significantly reducing the number of applications and proposals that are not taken up during the sales process. In addition to technology, the Munich Re team in Spain develops, maintains and improves the underwriting guidelines necessary for managing the digital sale of Real Vida Life insurance, and keep Real Vida current with the latest underwriting thinking.
