Abstract

Reinsurance plays an important role in spreading risk exposures held by an insurer, and we are seeing reinsurers’ business solutions for both insurance lines of businesses. Reinsurers are increasingly looking at climate perils and using data to develop solutions to provide monitoring and assessment tools for climate change. Technology providers or vendors are offering solutions to modernize the reinsurance workflow as well. At its foundation, data plays a key role in such products and services.

Below, we illustrate the state of reinsurance companies’ data solutions and the solutions offered by vendors today, along with the target lines of business and reinsurance activities.
