The growing interest in APIs and microservices among insurers is now obvious. APIs have multiple facets that insurers can exploit to build their own and tailored ecosystem.

Abstract

Insurers are increasingly looking at ways to create an ecosystem that better supports their business objectives. The approach of engineering their own core systems, leveraging APIs and microservices technologies, has gained momentum over the past few years. Therefore, it is important for them to understand what their peers are doing regarding APIs, how the technology has recently evolved, and what they can expect in the near future.
