Abstract

Insurers have divergent preferences when selecting core systems. While many prefer buying a policy administration system off the shelf, others prefer building their own or assembling different core components. At Celent, we have been tracking life policy administration systems based on data submitted by the vendors we have profiled in our regular reports.

The whole EMEA region is vast and comprises heterogenous insurance markets where local champions have grown up and managed to defend their leading position. It can be difficult to understand the life policy administration system vendor market without getting a historical view of its development.
