As many clients will know, there are two events I always attend in the corporate payments space – EBADay and Sibos. EBADay is a 2-day European focused event for the payments and transaction banking business, which like Sibos, moves to a different city each year. Now in its 12th year, 2017 was the turn of Dublin to host.
Attendance has continued to grow – even with controlled attendance, over 1,500 registered this year, a very high proportion of them bankers. Likewise, even with a couple of noticeable absences, the exhibition seems to have grown, with 57 exhibitors this year. One of the things I like about the exhibition is that every stand is both small and identical in size. Indeed, I suspect all 57 exhibitors would fit comfortably in the stand that Swift have at Sibos for example! One positive then is that everyone is confined to a relatively small area – stand still in one spot, and eventually, you’ll see everyone you need to!
