Abstract
When the global COVID-19 pandemic hit at the start of 2020, AIA Hong Kong made a decision to go live with a new COVID-19 alert service through its AIA Connect app. This new service, which included the offer of medical insurance cover, was launched within just seven days, from ideation through to product delivery. Within the first 6 months of launch, approximately 460K free medical covers were provided with a total digital reach achieved of 32M impressions. This Model Insurer winner case study explores the approach taken, the technical solution and success criteria from their perspective.
