Abstract

2020 was a disruptive year in insurance, and the pandemic forced insurers to reprioritize planned initiatives, with more focus on the digitization of processes. Although 2021 remains a year full of questions about the potential return to normal business operations, EMEA general insurers have remained optimistic. General insurers main business goals influencing IT plans are growth and customer retention as they enter 2021.

With this annual report, Celent examines business priorities, IT budget and investment being launched. In total, 32 EMEA general insurance CIOs, CTOs, or architects participated to our survey of in EMEA. This report shows the main findings of this year’s survey for general insurers in EMEA.
