Abstract

In 2023, we discussed the idea of “payments convergence” with several of our clients at Celent. Also, embedded finance continued to be a hot topic throughout the year. Not surprisingly, when we came across a technology provider that said it had interesting propositions in both areas, we were intrigued to find out more.

Vestigo, a European payments technology company, helps clients drive flexible cards and account-to-account (A2A) payments modernisation. The clients can either choose between standalone cards or payments solutions, or begin a journey towards payments convergence. Vestigo also has another interesting component in its toolkit—a strong partner management module that enables banks and Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs) to participate in embedded finance at scale.

Celent's key takeaways from a recent in-depth briefing are captured in this Solution Brief. In our view, the Vestigo cards and payments platform can be an interesting option for European financial institutions looking to replace, enhance, and even start converging their cards and A2A payments solutions.
