Built in partnership with BlackRock Solutions and powered by the Aladdin Risk Engine, the Portfolio Risk Platform provides a comprehensive suite of risk analytics to over 23,000 wealth management professionals. Calculated using a robust 3,000 factor risk model and equipped with risk, scenario, and concentration analytics, the platform is one of the only risk management tools available with forward-looking projections of volatility within client portfolios.

Synopsis: Merrill Lynch recognized the need for a highly sophisticated, “intelligent” advisor workstation that could enable advisors and their teams to provide holistic, personalized service and advice to their clients as efficiently as possible. In March 2020, Merrill launched the Client Engagement Workstation (CEW), a completely reimagined platform built in a browser-based format. CEW was designed to be responsive to laptops, tablets, or desktops, so that it can easily be used in any environment. The new workstation includes powerful functionality including Merrill’s Enterprise AI-powered virtual assistant (“Erica”) and new “Client Insight” alerts.
