Abstract

Celent profiles IT service vendors for the insurance industry. The report covers 24 vendors around the globe with a focus on Asia-Pacific presence.

IT service vendors have become an integral part of the insurance landscape; even the most self-reliant insurers with expert IT organizations have some experience with an IT partner. The many IT service vendors of varying sizes, skills, and focus means it is difficult to create a comprehensive guide for the insurance industry.

In the report IT Services Vendors Solutions Spectrum: APAC Version, 2014, Celent profiles IT service vendors for the insurance industry. The report covers 19 vendors around the globe with a focus on Asia-Pacific presence.Although this is not an exhaustive list, the report captures a wide cross-section of the available vendors and functions. This report is a companion to versions recently published for North America, Latin America, and Europe/Middle East/Africa.

It profiles the following vendors:

  • Accenture
  • ATOS
  • Cognizant
  • CSC
  • Genpact
  • HCL
  • Ibexi Solutions
  • IBM
  • IGATE
  • Indra Sistemas
  • Infosys
  • Mastek Ltd.
  • Mindtree
  • NIIT
  • Sinosoft
  • Syntel
  • ValueMomentum
  • Wipro
  • Zensar

“A significant amount of APAC technology services business goes to large consultancies and global service providers because of their experience and the depth of their client base,” says Nicolas Michellod, a senior analyst with Celent's Insurance practice and coauthor of the report. “Recently we have seen IT services vendors looking to further diversify their services in the core insurance system vendor space through intellectual property development or acquisition.”

“Service providers continue to expand their presence in the Asia-Pacific region,” says Wenli Yuan, a senior analyst with Celent's Asian Financial Services practice. “This can be considered a mature market for insurers, who can be confident they'll find considerable choice and experience among these providers.”
