Highlighting the effective use of technology

On April 24th, we were pleased to hold our annual Insight and Innovation day in Boston, where were presented insights and connected with clients on key technology topics across wealth and asset management. The event is firm-wide and included our insurance and banking teams. We had a well-attended event in a beautiful room overlooking the North End of Boston. We were also delighted to launch our inaugural Model Asset Manager and Model Wealth Manager awards and case studies last week.

We recognized initiatives that demonstrate the effective use of technology across six different categories. For a description of how we arrived at our winners, please see our FAQs for model asset manager and model wealth manager.

The awards program was new for our team and we reviewed many nominations. Any firm could apply. We recognized the few that met our criteria of measurable business benefits, implementation excellence, and degree of innovation. The question we answered was “What would it look like for an asset manager or wealth manager to do everything right with today’s technology at their disposal?”. Our mission was to educate, enlighten and inspire and I believe people left with that mission accomplished.

In addition to the awards, we delivered key insights via presentations from Neil Katkov and Cubillas Ding on Buyside Risk Management and Emerging Technology, Empowering the Advisor through Smart Data (Data Swamps/Data Smart) from Will Trout, API Monetization Schemes from Kelley Byrnes, and CRM and the Digital Client Experience by Ashley Globerman. It was a full day and we look forward to connecting with our clients again soon on these model awards and case studies. Congratulations again to our winners and the Celent team for a great day.
