Questions for snap poll studies are submitted by members of the panel to gain feedback and insight from their peers. Celent keeps individual responses confidential. Data is analyzed in aggregate, and selected quotes are anonymized.
This deck provides a summary of responses to a snap poll conducted June 24-27, 2025, on behalf of an insurer that is working on their MDM program. 10 executives responded to the study.

The question that was posed was:
Background: This insurer is working on their MDM program. They are trying to get some insights on what other firms are doing to improve the accuracy of their match and merge process (e.g. reduce under/over merge issues). For example, a social security number can improve accuracy to the high 90 percentile, but it isn’t always available. They’re curious about whether other insurers mandate capturing those attributes or if there are other attributes insurers have found successful.
