About this Interview:
Continuing Celent’s In Conversation With… series, Celent’s Zil Bareisis recently had the pleasure to sit down for a chat with Andrew Jamison, CEO and co-founder of Extend.
According to the company’s website, “Extend is the first out-of-the-box virtual card issuing platform and spend management software that a bank can readily offer to its customers. Supporting card programs across Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, [the company’s] goal is to bring the innovative experiences of modern card offerings to corporate credit cards everywhere.”
Andrew and Zil discussed a wide range of topics, such as:
- How the spend management space has evolved over time and why there is a need for a different approach.
- How Extend fits into the spend management ecosystem and the use cases it helps to address.
- The growing spend being captured on corporate cards.
- How virtual cards went from a standalone product to becoming a feature of corporate cards, democratising access and driving innovation and efficiencies.
- How banks can benefit from working with Extend and what it takes to onboard.
- What’s next…
- ... and more!
About the Series: Celent’s “In Conversation with…” series allows us to speak to various companies without being bound to a specific theme. The series is open to all: financial institutions, their solution and service providers, and other industry participants; however, we do have strict qualification criteria. These interviews let our clients get a sense of how a particular company thinks, what it offers today, and how it differentiates from others; these perspectives can then inform the institution’s technology investment strategies. We are intentionally non-evaluative in these interviews. If you are interested to participate, please contact your account manager or info@celent.com.
