How can an advances in artificial intelligence – specifically generative and machine-learning – as well as other avenues of automation in underwriting and distribution help an insurer build for the future? Foresight Risk and Insurance services, one of Celent’s 2025 Model Insurers for Digital and Emerging Technologies tells us how.
Launched in 2020, Foresight is a tech-forward US-based Managing General Underwriter laser-focused on middle-market workers' compensation insurance, particularly in high-hazard industries. Recognizing a need for more data-driven approaches, Foresight set out to transform underwriting and service delivery. Their "Project Lake House" initiative was key to making their goals a reality, enabling them to connect data seamlessly, implement AI, streamline operations, and leverage their existing Safesite platform, a proprietary safety management platform and coaching service included with every Foresight policy. The result? Foresight can now underwrite more efficiently and accurately, offering policyholders targeted loss prevention that demonstrably reduces claims and helps them achieve their loss ratio goals.
A highlight reel of Foresight's initiative, along with a one-page overview are available to everyone. A full-length case study report diving into this initiative is only available to Celent's subscribers. Please log in to access this report.
