    Synopsis: In May 2019 Investment Operations and Performance commenced development of the Investment Data Strategy. While the existing solutions provided pockets of excellence it was determined that the current investment data capability was immature. The goal of the data strategy project was to implement best of breed technology and data management capabilities.

    Synopsis: Digital Vault provides investors with real-time access to records of assets materialized/de-materialized bought on private markets. The solution enables the creation of a seamless workflow through the lifecycle of a private placement, reducing administration costs and delays. Built on Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), Digital Vault offers immutable data for certificates, uniqueness, time stamped, cryptographically signed transactions and keeps customer’s assets under custody. Digital Vault is currently being used by HSBC Securities Services Global Custody – Asia, HSBC Direct Custody - US and external customers in Asia.

    Category: Data, Analytics and AI Innovation

    Synopsis: Legend, an open source technology platform offered by Goldman Sachs and FINOS, tackles the rapidly growing challenge of ensuring timely access to actionable data across the financial services industry. It creates shared and standardized data models for improved collaboration and offers solutions to explore, define, connect and integrate data into business processes. Legend also breaks down data silos and the historical business vs. engineering divide by leveraging novel features that allow anyone to contribute, as it replaces complex code with an intuitive interface that transparently displays and explains changes.
