I had the good fortune to be able to recently attend some of the The Insurance Network's Technology conference in London or TINTech as it's colloquially known. In describing this conference to friends and colleagues I have historically accused it of having many faces, being a conference for personal lines, commercial lines, specialty and London market as well as life and pensions lines of business. This creates an ecclectic audience but allowed for some interesting realisations.
