Vanguard’s retail business, Personal Investor, embarked on a multi-year modernization program and has won the 2024 Model Wealth Manager Award for Essential and Emerging Technologies due to its strategic use of cloud technology for the betterment of its retail investor trading platform. Vanguard underwent a complex transformation project: the program migrated 100 applications powering millions of annual trades across all product types on the brokerage platform. The program has achieved significant benefits across its self-directed and advised investor client base, as well as employees.
Through the power of cloud computing, Vanguard optimized operations for lower total cost of ownership, accelerated delivery of value, and unlocked new opportunities for growth while improving resiliency to over 99.99%.
