Microgen 5Series Fund Administration
Microgen 5Series is a software solution designed to assist with the core business operations of both Fund Managers conducting fund administration in-house and Third Party Fund Administrators. Specifically, it provides functions to:
- capture and maintain details of fund structures and their processing rules;
- record details of investments and the associated transactions; calculate the Net Asset Value (“NAV”) and prices for funds;
- capture details of investors, including KYC & CRM information;
- process investor transactions and produce associated client documentation, e.g. contract notes, statements and dividend advices;
- calculate and pay introducer dealing and trail commissions;
- keep accounting records for funds, management companies and administration companies.
Microgen 5Series is made up of a number of fully integrated modules which reduce the duplication errors typically associated with multiple systems, and the increased level of automation that is achievable enables staff to spend more time on “value-added” activities. With a wide range of user definable parameters to facilitate flexibility, the system can be easily configured to reflect your business and processes.
Microgen 5Series Fund Administration
Investor Records: The Statutory module is the central repository for fund, investor and third party records. It automatically produces fund structure and client relationship diagrams, client documents, forms and minutes. User-defined fields and workflow are included.
Portfolio Module: The Portfolio Module captures details of investments held by funds administered using Microgen 5Series. Each fund can have its assets assigned to a single portfolio, or split between multiple portfolios.
Net Asset Valuation (NAV) Module: The NAV module automates the calculation of fund prices. Investments are re-valued using latest prices. Balances from the general ledger are included and fees and expenses are amortised and allocated across each of the sub-funds.Transfer Agency Module: The Transfer Agency module provides a standard set of transaction types which cover the regular activities associated with fund processing including: subscriptions; redemptions; switches; transfers; exchanges; conversions; and transfers from other schemes. Microgen 5Series also enables bespoke transaction types to be created to fit individual requirements.
Financial Module: The multi-entity, multi-currency, Financial Module provides a general ledger facility to manage and report accounting information for funds, management companies and administration companies, with many of the transactions being automatically generated from other the other modules.
Secure Web Portal Module: The secure web portal is a highly secure online client servicing tool that provides an online view of a user-defined subset of data & documents from Microgen 5Series Fund.
