AxeTrader operates on a minimum of required infrastructure. A single solution consisting of AxeTrader desktop software and the AxeServer software provide the traders and administrators with all the functionality needed to operate a fixed income electronic trading platform, on one or multiple markets. The software can be installed on a single desktop or on separate machines.
The AxeTrader software package consists of two software applications: AxeServer and AxeTrader client software.
The AxeServer and AxeTrader client applications can reside on the same hardware or different hardware. At a minimum, all you need to operate AxeTrader is a current specification personal computer connected via a network to your chosen trading platforms. AxeTrader can also be run in a classic client-server configuration, with AxeServer running on a separate server machine linked to the users’ desktop computers running the AxeTrader client application. All data, trades, and user information reside on a database connected to AxeServer (PostgreSQL, Oracle or MS-SQL), which is also installed on the customer’s hardware. The database can be linked to internal and back office systems to facilitate integration and further streamline communication.
AxeServer handles the external connectivity for both price contribution out to your chosen fixed income trading networks as well as managing the processes of electronic trading. Internally on your network, AxeServer connects to the AxeTrader application, residing on each of your trader’s desktops, and your pricing sheets. AxeServer provides the market connectivity and coordinates the activities of the traders, via their AxeTrader desktop application.
A hierarchical system of administration controls protect users from unauthorized access. Every user’s access is protected by a login name and password which can easily be maintained by an administrator or by the users themselves.
Pricing sheets, settings, trade history and all communication trace logs reside on AxeServer but are actually accessed via the simple and intuitive AxeTrader application. Trade history and trace logs can all be downloaded into other applications. Fully automated straight-through-processing may also be implemented from AxeTrader.
AxeTrader’s server-based pricing sheets provide the trader with a range of sophisticated tools to manage their pricing and market exposure with confidence. If required, market pricing may still be done from your existing Excel pricing sheets for full flexibility.
The AxeTrader desktop application has an easy-to-use, drag and drop interface. A small number of user-configurable panels give the user everything they need
