Event Offers Attendees Opportunity to Help Drive Organizational Strategy to Meet Changing Business Needs
Wolters Kluwer Financial Services today kicked off its second annual EMEA Client Conference in Chantilly just north of Paris, France. This two-day event on Oct. 23 – 24 brings together regulatory, risk, finance and compliance specialists from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to examine industry trends, challenges and future developments through presentations, interactive sessions and peer networking.
The conference features the opening session, “Banking – What Will be the New Normal?,” delivered by Patrick Dixon, chairman of Global Change Ltd., and a leading European futurist and advisor to major global banks. Dixon examines relevant topics today and those that will be important in 10 years’ time. Kris Van Bavel, vice president of sales, EMEA, Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, will continue in that vein in his presentation, delving deeper into the industry trends and challenges that Wolters Kluwer Financial Services has identified. Evgueni Ivantsov, chairman of the European Risk Management Council, will provide the closing keynote address, discussing risk culture as a crucial element in predetermining a bank’s success or failure.
One particular trend that Wolters Kluwer Financial Services has identified is the connection of governance, ﬁnance, risk, and compliance (GFRC) within an organization. Andrew Delaney, editor-in-chief of A-Team Group, will interviewWolters Kluwer Financial Services experts Raffi Festekjian, chief executive officer, Finance, Risk and Compliance, and Wolfgang Prinz, head of product management, on this topic to ascertain how firms can use the framework of GFRC to take a fresh approach to managing risk and compliance.
Given the success of work stream sessions last year, client attendees will again participate in these sessions during this year’s conference.
