IP Systems is heading to Turkey
Taking the next step of our international expansion, we introduced our energy software solutions to the Turkish market as the only Hungarian participant of the most significant professional event, the 22nd International Energy & Environment Fair & Conference (ICCI) held in Istanbul Expo Centre from 27th to 29th of April. Our company is now present at the Turkish market with a local representative.
ICCI is one of the most sustainable international energy fairs organized every year on a regular basis in Turkey since 1994. With around 16.000 visitors and more than 340 exhibitors, it is also Turkey’s largest energy fair. Our company did not only attend the event as a participant but also as an exhibitor. Here, we have introduced our new product line to the Turkish market. The portfolio offers risk management software, as well as software tools designed to effectively manage and optimize daily business processes for production, storage, distribution, system operation and trading.
“We believe that our existing energy business solutions can support the dynamically developing and liberalising Turkish market to reach the goals of the national energy strategy and to form the basis of future development. Now we are present in Turkey with a local representative who knows the local market” said Ákos Füzi, partner of IP Systems. Our expert also added that in Turkey the power distribution was already in private sector hands, while the privatization of power generation assets was set to be completed within the next few years. Regarding the petroleum and natural gas exploration and production, these activities will also continue to be prioritised in Turkey. Thanks to Turkey’s strategic location, there is also a national demand for becoming a regional natural gas hub.
IP Systems introduced its energy IT platforms - which are to be used in the liberalised market and have already been successfully introduced in several countries - to representatives of the Turkish TSO, as well as to local distributors, traders, green power plant & energy production representatives. “While the Turkish energy market is developing at an incredible pace, it still causes concern that almost 20 percent of the total electricity consumption is given by black consumption. As a result, a wide interest was excited by our software products, which are transparent, easy-to-use solutions for third party access, metering local consumption and trading with energy.” – said Emir Atala, Country Manager of IP Systems in Turkey.
