Black Mountain Systems LLC, in partnership with leading data and technology vendors, has developed interfaces to integrate its Everest front office solution with over 30 investment systems and services.  This integration experience enables Everest to aggregate and enhance holdings and trade data and provide multi-asset asset managers and traders with a real time Investment Book of Record (IBOR).  Babson Capital Management LLC, with $142 billion invested under multiple strategies, asset types and currencies, and managed on multiple middle and back office systems, chose Everest to deliver IBOR capabilities for its investment professionals.Black Mountain has helped many of its clients normalize a diverse set of data to facilitate trading and investment management; however it was Babson Capital who recognized the capabilities and partnered with Black Mountain to use Everest as a platform to implement an IBOR solution.  Babson Capital Management’s COO Paul Thompson notes that “Our investment professionals increasingly need transparent, accurate and traded holdings across multiple assets and portfolios on a single system.  Black Mountain’s Everest solution provides a window on holdings across the entire $142 Billion portfolio and will prove to be instrumental in improving our ability to make decisions and invest with the most accurate data at our fingertips. Everest over time will improve operational efficiency at Babson Capital.”

Black Mountain serves multi-strategy managers that invested in a variety of securities up and down the capital structure and in various markets.  Black Mountain’s co-CEO Kevin MacDonald adds that, “From day one, we built a system that was flexible enough to model the qualitative and quantitative data of any asset class.  That, along with an open architecture, allowed us to interface with industry leading back office systems, fund administrators, and data services to provide real time cross-asset aggregation on a single front office platform.  While Babson was the first to recognize Everest’s proven capabilities as their future IBOR solution, we look forward to helping more firms address similar business challenges.”

Black Mountain will highlight its Everest suite of solutions at the Loan Syndications and Trading Association’s 18th Annual Conference in New York on October 17, 2013.  Please drop by booth #26 or visit our website for additional information and a demo of Everest.
