20 March 2015, Sydney: Vermilion Software, the leading supplier of client reporting and communications software, announces the opening of its Australian office.

Vermilion has been pressing further into the Asia Pacific region since the opening in 2013 of a hub in Singapore. Vermilion’s new clients in the territory are a mix of local firms and the Asian investment management arm of global financial providers. Notably, one of Australia's largest banks is live on Vermilion's reporting platform and is now expanding its implementation in Sydney. 

Vermilion also announces the appointment of Rob Chowdhury as Business Development Manager, based in Sydney. Rob brings a wealth of knowledge of the Australian financial services market. Most recently, he worked for OneVue, a platform and unit registry service provider. Prior to that he held roles at asset servicer RBC Investor Services and back office vendor Omgeo (now a subsidiary of the DTCC). 

“We are focusing on both new client targets and expanding our existing implementations and support,” said Simon Cornwell, co-founder and Global Sales and Marketing Director, based in Singapore. “We welcome Rob to the team and are confident that with his knowledge and experience, we can increase our presence in the Australian market.”
