  • Chase Bank's Quick Deposit group has as much talent in their office as the DMV. Here they are, still playing around with their archaic MICR ink detecting scanners, then leapfrog all generic scanners to offer iphone deposits.

    What's it going to be Chase? MICR ink requirements from the 60s? Or do we all need to become teenagers with silly phone apps in order to run our businesses?

    No surprise though, Chase still snail mail's me my customers' bounced checks. They can't email it and don't seem to have the desire. If a small start-up operated their business the way Chase operates their Quick deposit group, the business wouldn't last a week in the real world.

  • I like the idea of remote deposit capture. I like to be able to make a deposit from my own home. Taking a picture of my check with my iPhone and then being able to see that check deposited in my account.. That is innovation.
