From the Senior Vice President
With the dog days of August approaching, there's a lot of red on the global weather map. I was in Tokyo last week, and it was hot and humid. Here in the US, same thing. Ditto much of Europe. It feels hot everywhere I go.
The same could be said about IT in insurance. Despite global economic uncertainty, most carriers seem to be erring on the side of action. Maintaining the status quo is aiming for mediocrity, if not today, then in the very near future. And the companies that I talk to-on both the executive level and the front lines-have grander visions. Someone's going to win the battle for the hearts and minds of producers and consumers, so perfecting the visions and executing on them is critical.
All the action makes this a crazy, exciting time for Celent staff. We're responding to the industry's thirst for answers and delivering a great mix of research and consulting that is targeted at industry issues.
If you've ever interacted with Celent personally, you probably picked up on the fact that we enjoy what we do. But with more people than ever asking for insights and inspiration, we are cranking it up a notch, and having more fun than ever.
For some light summer reading, check out the upcoming reports list, our massive library of past reports (if you're a current client), or the Celent insurance blog. You'll have to provide your own lemonade, but otherwise we're here to help you beat the heat.
