Celent profiles a majority of the life and pension insurance administration systems available in Asia today.

Interest in policy administration offerings for insurance has surged in recent years. In a new report, Asian Policy Administration Systems 2009: Life and Pension ABCD Vendor View, Celent looks at policy administration systems available to life insurers in Asia. The report is part of a series on policy administration systems in Europe, the United States, and Asia.

"The Asian IT vendor landscape has become increasingly difficult to navigate,” says Wenli Yuan, senior analyst with Celent’s Insurance Group and author of the report. "Prioritizing decision elements is a crucial task in order to minimize the risk of choosing an inappropriate PAS and avoid facing time-consuming and expensive customization efforts."

Celent profiles 15 policy administration systems vendors in Asia, with 10 full profiles and five limited profiles, using its ABCD Vendor View, which is a standard representation of a vendor marketplace designed to show at a glance the relative positions of each vendor in four categories: Advanced technology, Breadth of functionality, Customer base, and Depth of client services. Vendors with full profiles included in this report are: 3i Infotech Asia Pacific, Bravura Solutions Ltd, CSC Computer Sciences, EAB Systems Limited, eBaoTech, Financial Information Technology, FIS Software, Hewlett-Packard, Mastek Ltd, and Tata Consultancy Services.
