War In Ukraine: Implications for Payments
Priorities For Operations And Technology Executives In This Fast Moving Environment

//War In Ukraine: Implications for Payments

Recent events in Ukraine have far reaching ramifications across the global financial system as sanctions begin to take hold and inflationary pressures mount.

At Celent’s annual ‘Innovation and Insight’ event, we assembled experts (Dan Tannebaum, Paul Mee, Jamie MacGregor, Rob Norris and myself, Gareth Lodge) from across Oliver Wyman and Celent to explore the priorities facing for operations and technology executives in helping their financial service firms navigate this fast-moving environment.

We had limited time and all of these areas warrant much more detailed discussion. Here I lay out some of the thoughts around payments that I shared during the session, while Jamie summarised the session in a separate blog.
