Vermilion Bags Hat Trick of Awards
Vermilion Software, a leading supplier of client reporting and communications software, announces today that it has won three categories at the Buy-Side Technology Awards 2014. This is the first time ever that a reporting vendor has won all three of these awards in the same year.
Vermilion collected accolades for ‘Best buy-side client reporting platform’, ‘Best implementation at a buy-side firm’ and ‘Best buy-side product for 2014’, at a gala lunch at the May Fair Hotel in London on 7 November.
Vermilion’s CEO Marcus Noble said: “We are thrilled to receive this hat trick of honours. It bears testimony to the innovative approach we have taken and the faith that our clients have had in us. We have, in effect, been voted the client reporting firm with the best product and the best implementation team by one of the most respected asset management technology periodicals.”
The Best Implementation award was for a deployment at Ashmore Group plc, a large British investment manager dedicated to the emerging markets. The firm went live on the Vermilion Reporting Suite (VRS) in May 2014. Previously, reporting was conducted utilising a number of standalone platforms that were consolidated to Vermilion.
“Winning the Implementation award for two years in succession is a particular achievement for the team,” said Simon Cornwell, Global Sales and Marketing Director at Vermilion Software. “Having a great product is one thing; delivering that product in a timely manner, within budget and with a clear return on investment for the asset manager is the difficult part.”
“Vermilion was the stand-out firm in this year's best client reporting category, an area of the buy-side that has evolved into one of the most critical functions to manage accurately and efficiently,” commented Victor Anderson, Editor-in-Chief, Waters. “Vermilion's three wins in this year's awards makes it the best performing technology provider for 2014 - no mean feat when one considers the number and quality of entries to this year's awards.”
