John researches public Blockchains and Digital Assets including Cryptocurrencies, Stable Coins, Utility Tokens, Non-Fungible Tokens, and Security Tokens.

He has followed Initial Coin Offerings since investing in the Ethereum genesis block.

His knowledge of primary capital markets and tokenization provides a framework for understanding the new capital markets emerging, their investable assets, and the implications for traditional buy and sell-side business models.

Equity Capital Markets

John has advised Boards and senior executives across financial services on strategy, capital raising, and advisory.

He spent fourteen years in equity capital markets (ECM) within investment banking at Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs, and Macquarie Capital.

He was Head of Emerging Markets ECM, Macquarie Capital; Natural Resources ECM, Macquarie Capital; and Middle East ECM, Goldman Sachs.

His experience straddles both public and private equity markets advising governments, private equity, venture capital, and corporates.

He attended the Executive Program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Sheffield University Management School, and is ACA qualified in England & Wales.
