Jay's research focuses on Investment Services including portfolio management, portfolio accounting, collateral management and all front, middle and back office processes. His professional experience includes, equities, fixed income, commodities and derivatives trading and processing.
Jay has over 25 years of experience within Investment Services handling technology and business processes for equity, fixed income and treasury trading desks. He has managed, developed and overseen implementations of trading, pricing, analytics and risk systems including middle and back office work flow processes. Additionally, he developed some of the first S&P 500 program trading applications while at Kidder Peabody and Salomon Brothers.
Jay is a recognized industry speaker and has been quoted in Institutional Investor, Securities Industry News, Wall Street & Technology, Water’s Technology and various other industry periodicals.
Prior to joining Celent, Jay was a research director in Gartner’s Banking and Investment Services Group and a research director of Capital Markets at Hewlett Packard, concentrating on investment management solutions, risk analytics and trading systems. Previously, he was a group director at UBS Investment Bank and Lehman Brothers.
Jay received his MBA in Finance from New York University and undergraduate degrees from Cooper Union and Saint Lawrence University.
